ENTER, a print annual and digital monthly from the creators of Architecture MN magazine, explores the people, places, and ideas shaping a better built environment for Minnesota

Architects and designers don’t create architecture alone.

The work of architecture is a deeply collaborative endeavor. The built environment is a system within which a wide variety of leaders, influencers, advocates, and visionaries continually determine what is kept, what is left behind, and what is created.

This collective sensibility is at the core of ENTER. We engage a wide array of voices in shaping original monthly content that highlights inspiring stories in Minnesota communities and thought leadership on climate action, equity, experience, economy, and innovation in the built environment. Once a year, we go up a few thousand feet and assess where the built environment has been and where it’s headed, in a printed format designed to be substantial and worthy of keeping for years to come.

The future of architecture—the future of our communities—is what we collectively shape it to be. At ENTER, we’re excited to explore and inspire the work of creating the future, together.

A note on the What We’re Reading list on the home page and in the monthly email: We include articles from publications that have a soft paywall, which is when a subscription is needed after a set number of free articles are accessed. If you have already accessed all of your free articles from a publication, we encourage you to consider a subscription to it, or to bookmark the article to read once your free article limit resets. By considering sources that have soft paywalls, we are able to consistently curate relevant and robust content and support the journalism industry. We do limit the number of articles from any one source, with each publication’s accessibility in mind.

Chris leads the ENTER team. He was the editor of ENTER’s predecessor, the award-winning Architecture MN magazine. In his spare time, he’s a hobby architectural photographer with an interest in midcentury buildings.

Sheri is AIA Minnesota’s Director of Communications, Advocacy, and Public Outreach. In her free time, you can find her buried in a book or enjoying Minnesota’s great outdoors.

Ann is the Public Outreach Manager for AIA Minnesota. She has previously worked as a freelance editor and book reviewer. Outside of work, you can find her watching horror movies or reading.

Mary-Margaret is the EVP/Executive Director of AIA Minnesota, AIA Minneapolis, AIA Northern Minnesota, AIA St. Paul, and the Minnesota Architectural Foundation. She spends her free time immersed in architecture and books, cities of all sizes, and the natural beauty of Northern Minnesota.
